Since it's inception in 2006, the OGN has always strongly believed in giving back to our communities. For all the support our businesses receive, this is our opportunity to say, "Thank you!" So 10% of every Member Profile purchased will be donated on a quarterly basis to a local charity that benefits women and children.
Since we now have local chapter memberships, the members of each chapter choose the local charity for their community.
In the past, we've sponsored two local fundraisers, "The Caring & Sharing Community Charity Event", to draw attention to those charities in our area that don't get the attention that the well known charities receive.
On October 14, 2006 the 1st Annual Caring & Sharing Community Charity Event was held at the Radisson Hotel-Opryland. Our charity of choice for 2006 was The Hope Clinic for Women in Nashville. With a Christmas theme, ticket sales, and beautiful gift basket giveaways, we raised $1250.00 for the Hope Clinic.
On November 17, 2007 our charity was The Safe Haven Family Shelter in Nashville. With the same theme as the previous year, we were able to raise over $1100.00 for the families at the shelter.
The Original Girlfriends Network is extremely proud of our ongoing commitment to our communities, and we thank everyone who has participated in the past, and will contribute in the future! We appreciate you!
