Jan Horrell is a 50+ photographer who recently moved to the Nashville area after living 7 years in New Jersey. With her husband, they decided to leave the cold weather & snow of the north and head for warmer climates and to be closer to new grandchildren arriving! Born in St. Louis, she has worked in healthcare most of her life, from the Clinical Laboratory, to Hospital Computer Systems to Laboratory Medical Devices, but always wanted to nurture that creative side of her! She has started a photography business, focused on glamour or boudoir photography for women and couples. With a studio in Cadiz, KY and Nashville, TN, she finds the balance needed to nurture the creativity.
The photography world is changing dramatically. New post-editing techniques, as well as new product offerings bring a breath of fresh air to an industry that has been around for a while. A client can end up with treasured memories of how they looked in a sensual, romantic situation in a soft cover or hardcover booklet, calendars, DVDs, and many other varieties of products that are not your mother's 8 x 10 glossies! She also has questionnaires and posing guides to inspire her clients into becoming the model inside, which makes the session fun for all! Besides coming to the studio, she can also take her studio on the road for a picture party with 4-6 friends for an evening of fun!
